Discontinuing Development of SquareScape

Hi everyone. Unfortunately, this will (probably) be my last devlog for SquareScape. I've been thinking about this for a while, and I've come to a decision. I will be discontinuing further development of the game for many reasons, which I will explain in detail:

1. This game was merely a test game, I didn't put much effort into it's development and I still don't put any effort into it's development and I feel like that will add bad habits and make it harder for me to make games now and in the future.

2. I don't enjoy developing this game, and I feel like I could do better then what I'm doing with SquareScape. 

3. I'm running out of ideas, and my current ideas aren't very fun. 

4. The game is very boring looking and not very appealing to the eye, I tried some other ways to improve the look and design but incorporating something that doesn't go with the artstyle really doesn't look right to me. I feel like this would be a disadvantage when I get to marketing it in big sections like making an ad on YouTube or any other platform. I tried posting a screenshot to different subreddits and imgur, just to see if people could take away something from a simple screenshot but it was way too featureless and I'm to blame for that.

5. This game limits me from trying other game ideas, I have tons of amazing ideas for games that I've compiled over the years and I would be wasting my time if I didn't at least try some of them.

This doesn't mean that I won't be making games anymore, I just wont be continuing development for SquareScape. Thank you for all who stuck with me with this game, given feedback, rated it, whatever. I hope to grow this little hobby into a career of my own!

P.S. I might release an update to fix and/or smooth out some features, so don't be alarmed. I decided if I were to cancel development, I should make it playable if someone were to come across it and want to play it. I will also be releasing it in HTML5 instead of a download. Thanks again!
